Itinerary
Day 1: Manali to Kaza via Rohtang Pass & Kunzum La
Begin your journey early in the morning from Manali. Drive through the stunning Rohtang Pass and the breathtaking Kunzum La (4,590 m), the gateway to Spiti. Enjoy spectacular views of glaciers, rivers, and rugged mountains. Arrive in Kaza, the administrative capital of Spiti Valley. Check-in at your hotel or guesthouse. Overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 2: Kaza – Key Monastery – Kibber – Chicham Bridge – Langza
After breakfast, visit the iconic Key Monastery, the largest in Spiti. Continue to Kibber Village, one of the highest inhabited villages in the world. Next, cross the famous Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge. Later, drive to Langza, known for its giant Buddha statue and fossils. Return to Kaza for overnight stay.
Day 3: Kaza – Hikkim – Komic – Demul
Today you’ll visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office. Next, head to Komic Village, one of the world’s highest motorable villages. Experience the remote mountain lifestyle and warm hospitality of the locals. Visit Demul, a less-traveled but culturally rich village. Return to Kaza by evening. Overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 4: Kaza to Tabo – Dhankar Monastery – Pin Valley (Mud Village)
Drive towards Tabo, often referred to as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas” for its ancient murals and monastery (built in 996 AD). En route, visit the majestic Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff. Later, take a detour into the lush Pin Valley, famous for its scenic beauty and rare wildlife. Overnight stay in Mud Village or return to Kaza.
Day 5: Kaza to Chandratal Lake (Moon Lake)
After breakfast, begin your drive toward Chandratal Lake, one of the most stunning high-altitude lakes in Himachal Pradesh. Drive through Losar and Kunzum Pass again. Reach Chandratal by afternoon and enjoy the magical reflections of the lake. Overnight stay in a camp near the lake (seasonal availability).
Day 6: Chandratal to Manali
Early morning departure from Chandratal. Drive back to Manali via Batal and Rohtang Pass, with multiple photo stops along the way. Arrive in Manali by evening. Tour ends with incredible memories of Spiti Valley, brought to you by Jai Maa Mansa.
