Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kaza

Arrive in Kaza and spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude. Explore the vibrant local market and take in the views of the surrounding peaks. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 2: Kaza – Hikkim – Komic – Langza – Kaza

After breakfast, head out for a local excursion. Visit Hikkim, the world’s highest post office; Komic, one of the world’s highest motorable villages with a centuries-old monastery; and Langza, known for fossils and its iconic Buddha statue. Return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Kaza – Tabo – Gue – Kaza

Start early for a scenic drive to Tabo Monastery, one of the oldest Buddhist centers in the Himalayas. Continue toward Gue Village, where you’ll witness the rare sight of the Gue Mummy, a self-mummified monk preserved naturally inside a glass shrine. Learn about the legends and local beliefs around it. Return to Kaza in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 4: Kaza – Key Monastery – Kibber – Kaza

Visit the spectacular Key Monastery, the largest and most photogenic in Spiti. Then proceed to Kibber Village, famous for its high-altitude wildlife and breathtaking views. Return to Kaza for a relaxed evening and overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure from Kaza

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back home with incredible memories of spiritual history and Himalayan adventure.
