Itinerary

Day 1: Chandigarh/Shimla to Sangla

Your journey begins as you travel from Chandigarh or Shimla into the beautiful Kinnaur Valley. Passing through lush green forests and mountain rivers, you’ll reach the quaint village of Sangla, nestled beside the Baspa River. Check-in to your hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by pine forests and snow-capped peaks. Overnight stay in Sangla.

Day 2: Sangla – Chitkul – Kalpa

After breakfast, drive to Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border, known for its wooden houses and untouched beauty. Spend some time at the riverside before heading to Kalpa, a town offering mesmerizing views of the Kinner Kailash range. Overnight stay in Kalpa.

Day 3: Kalpa to Nako – Tabo

Today, the landscape changes dramatically as you enter the cold desert region of Spiti. Stop at the serene Nako Lake, surrounded by willows and poplars, then continue to Tabo, home to one of the oldest functioning Buddhist monasteries in the Himalayas, known for its ancient murals. Overnight stay in Tabo.

Day 4: Tabo – Dhankar – Kaza

Start your day with a visit to Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff. The panoramic views of the Spiti River confluence from here are unforgettable. Afterward, proceed to Kaza, the headquarters of Spiti Valley. Explore the market or relax at your hotel. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 5: Kaza – Langza – Hikkim – Komic

Today you’ll explore three of the highest inhabited villages in the world. Visit Langza, known for fossil hunting and a large Buddha statue, then Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, and finally Komic, one of the world’s highest villages. Return to Kaza by evening. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 6: Kaza – Key Monastery – Kibber – Chicham Bridge

After breakfast, drive to Key Monastery, the most iconic monastery in Spiti. Continue to Kibber, a high-altitude village known for snow leopards, and walk over the thrilling Chicham Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in Asia. Return to Kaza for overnight stay.

Day 7: Kaza to Chandratal Lake via Kunzum Pass

Today is the most scenic leg of your journey as you drive across Kunzum La Pass (4,590 m) to reach the magical Chandratal Lake, also known as the “Moon Lake.” Relax and soak in the silence and reflections of the surrounding peaks. Overnight stay in camps near Chandratal (seasonal, available May–October).

Day 8: Chandratal to Manali via Rohtang Pass

Depart early for Manali, driving through rugged terrain via Batal, Chatru, and the famous Rohtang Pass. Arrive in Manali by evening and check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 9: Manali Local Sightseeing

Spend a relaxed day exploring Manali’s highlights including Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht Hot Springs, and Mall Road. Optional café hopping or riverbank relaxation. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 10: Departure from Manali (or drop at Chandigarh/Delhi)

After breakfast, your trip concludes. You’ll be dropped at Manali bus stand, or we’ll arrange a comfortable drive back to Chandigarh or Delhi, as per your plan. Tour ends with incredible memories of the Himalayas curated by Jai Maa Mansa.
